The Shia Imam of the Northern region of Ghana, Sheikh Dalhu Abdul Mumin, has strongly condemned the Israeli terrorist attacks on Iran, describing it as a “blatant act of terrorism by the Zionist Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Why it matters:
In the early hours of Friday morning, Israel launched a sweeping military campaign against Iran. Israel's attacks across Iran, targeting dozens of sites including nuclear facilities, military commanders, and scientists, are manifestly illegal.

What he’s saying:

Sheikh Dalhu Abdul Mumin said, “The Muslim world was woken by a blatant act of terrorism by the Zionist Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which led to the martyrdom of several shining stars as well as innocent civilians, women and children. Our support, condolences, and sympathy go to the leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali and to the entire great people of Iran.”

Key points:

  • Imam Abdul Mumin condemns in clear terms the cowardly acts of terrorism. He calls upon the international community and the United Nations to hold Israel to account for these unprovoked attacks.
  • And according to him, Insha Allah, the Islamic Republic of Iran shall be victorious with the help of Allah the Almighty and ward off the evil zionist. And he believes and has confidence in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
